China Clay / Kaolin
About
KAOLIN/China Clay is hydrated aluminum silicate crystalline mineral (kaolinite), formed from weathered granite that once sat below the earth’s surface. It is one of most common minerals on the earth and can be easily identified by its fine particle size and plate like structure.
The Chemical Formula for KAOLIN / China Clay is Al2Si2O5(OH4).

Manufacturing Process
-
The Crude China Clay(Raw Material) is mined & brought to the Processing Unit.
-
Then the Raw Material is blunged & dispersed into water to produce Clay Slurry.
-
Other Impurities & Grits are removed from Slurry & it is stored in Tanks where the Separation of Solid & Liquid takes place.
-
Before the Solid Clay is casted in Cake Form, the Brightness Enhancement is carried out with filtration.
-
This cake shaped Solid Clay is now kept for Sun Drying & once its dried its broken in Lumps Size or can be grind as per the requirement.
